Volant’s ACT™ tool is designed for casing drilling or running with top drive equipped rigs to eliminate well center alignment problems. This tool mechanically articulates to align casing or drill pipe with well center, reducing the effects of misaligned connections at the drilling surface. In operation, the ACT is generally connected directly to the tool joint connection on the top drive quill.
