This was a very heated yet intriguing read. The author seemed to blend the erotic thriller genre with the historical romance genre, and the marriage of these two specific genres worked out so perfectly. The exploration of themes such as reincarnation, love, and whether or not that love can transcend time itself was beautifully woven into the fabric of this narrative, and the fast-paced story was perfectly accentuated by the great back and forth between the past storyline and the present. The tension and atmosphere of this read were brought to life brilliantly thanks in large part to the richly developed characters of this novel. The main cast of characters and their past counterparts really do an amazing job of highlighting the concept of reincarnation and showing the dangers of the past repeating itself in the present as a whole. The idea of people using marriage not for love but for monetary gain, those who are stuck in loveless marriages, and the passion and wildness that comes when true love is found were perfectly illustrated in each character’s unique interactions with one another in both time periods. Suspenseful, entertaining, and captivating, author Mandy Eve-Barnett’s “The Twesome Loop” is a must-read erotic thriller/historical romance read. The heated passion when blended with the metaphysical aspect of reincarnation and the suspense of what happened to bring these four souls together again will have readers on the edge of their seats, making this a fun and engaging adult read. This was a great read. Finished in one day, I was so taken with it. I love the idea of past lives intersecting with a current life. The characters were easy to follow and they had depth from the beginning. Erotic, fast-paced, and well developed, Mandy has proved she can weave a great tale and I look forward to reading more of her novels.

This book really is superb. It’s my second time reading it. It was so refreshing to read a book that has been well edited, with no grammatical errors or spelling errors, no mis-used words and a plot that flows smoothly with no inconsistencies. I was hooked from the very beginning! I loved the way this author writes and how she develops the story. What a nice touch of “revenge” gave to this book. It was really engaging. On top of that I loved the characters chemistry, romance and banter. Love passion pleasure revenge!! This is one of my all-time favorite books to read. I just re-read it and I find myself thinking a lot. While this book had a lot of evil characters and situations in it, the overall feeling of the story wasn’t dark or depressing for me. Some of the evil players got what they deserved. Mandy Eve-Barnett is one of the best writers in this genre and she infuses her stories with historical aspects to make them more interesting.
Mandy Eve-Barnett draws her characters so well that you feel their emotions with them. There are several mildly described romance scenes, but no profanity except an occasional “damn” . All in all, you can’t go wrong with this book and I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys romance books. Highly Recommended!
